Sit, listen to the wind, birds and trees. Allow the beauty and chaos that is nature to enter and propel you through this time we call life. Breath in the smells of an open fire place and a camp fire. Know the difference they have on you and your surroundings. Give with an open heart and mind. Know that there are richer and poorer. But never measure those two thoughts by the amount of money one has. For richness is how you live and give of yourself, not what you have.

See what chosing a direction says about you
CHOOSE A DIRECTION!
Study the compass. Which direction are you pulled towards?
Next, scroll down to discover what it reveals about you:
:
:
:
:
NORTH: The north is associated with the need for independence and space to think clearly without distractions. You may find yourself being pulled towards spiritual practices and meditation. If you chose this direction it's a good time to spend more time alone, to empty your mind of daily worries and to allow inspiration to enter you. Your new life purpose is waiting and until you embrace it, you are likely to feel restless and dissatisfied with your daily life. This direction also aids recovery from illness and emotional hurts. If this message resonates with you, spend a few minutes meditating everyday, and sit facing north.
NORTH-EAST: You are seeking the energy of the north-east which is useful if you want to feel more motivated or gain a clearer sense of direction in life. Do you feel stuck in a rut? If so, a change will be helpful because it would help you regain your mojo. It is time to take a few risks. Even if you don't quite know what you want to do, or where to start, do something - anything. Break out of routines, do a whacky course, call up old friends, send your CV to your dream company, join a dating agency. You don't need a perfect end-solution, just start with change. If this message resonates with you, spend a few minutes meditating everyday, and sit facing north-east.
EAST: The East is associated with expansion. If you chose this direction you are starting to feel more ambitious about life. It is a good time to start a course that will lead to a money-making enterprise, or in fact to start or expand a business. Don't let fear stand in your way, enthusiasm and growing confidence will take you where you need to go. Be patient, don't expect success over night - enjoy the journey of exploration. Harness all your energy (including impatience) into doing something better with your life, focus it in one direction and impress us all! If this message resonates with you, spend a few minutes meditating everyday, and sit facing east.
SOUTH-EAST: By seeking the energy of the south-east, you intuitively know it is time to give wings to your imagination. You are moving into a highly creative phase so, for example, it's a good time to write that book that's been at the back of your mind. It is time to make your dreams a reality. It is safe to have big ideas, whether they relate to work or hobbies. Protect yourself from criticism because, however well intentioned, it will only hold you back. The South-East energy is also related to relationships. Those who are single are likely to attract a relationship with this energy. Those who are living together a while should talk about marriage (it is time!). If this message resonates with you, spend a few minutes meditating everyday, and sit facing south-east.
SOUTH: You may feel drained by certain situations and/or other people. By seeking the energy of the south, your body is telling you to 'wake up'!. It is time to bring passion and positivity back into your life. Forget about going with the flow, instead take charge and set the pace. Meet new people (or change what you do with those you know) - create new situations. By doing so, you will create a new flow, and simply put - a more fun life. Lets not endure our life, lets live it. On the cosmic timescale our life is just a blip, be brave and live your blip with passion! If this message resonates with you, spend a few minutes meditating everyday, and sit facing south.
SOUTH-WEST: Focus, focus, focus. The energy of the south-west is all about taking a practical approach to life. Putting long-term goals in place and steadily working towards them. It's time for head down, working hard, saving money and increasing skills. Don't get distracted by fleeting pleasures. It is a time for developing long-term working relationships and friendships. Good old fashioned values are rewarded, looking after your family, being there for friends, earning the respect of work colleagues, appreciating the things money cannot buy. In so doing, you will achieve a quality of life which is extra-ordinary. If this message resonates with you, spend a few minutes meditating everyday, and sit facing south-west.
WEST: The west is associated with romance, and most often a new relationship or taking an existing relationship to the next level. It's also a prompt to spend more time with your partner, to lighten up and have more fun (both in and out of the bedroom! :)). For those unconcerned with romance, the west is also associated with receiving loans, financial backing, getting a new job or starting a business. So, by choosing this direction, you are sending the right intention to the Universe to boost your financial prospects. If this message resonates with you, spend a few minutes meditating everyday, and sit facing west.
NORTH-WEST: If you are hoping for promotion, taking on greater responsibilities or applying for a job, it's natural to subconsciously harness the power of the north-west. This energy helps you appear authoritative, trust-worthy and in control. Use your gut feelings and perception to know when the right time to make a move is. If you are attracted to the north-west you are being guided to take control of your life, to go out into the world and achieve material success - but you need to keep your self-worth and integrity in tact. Only work at, or do, what sits well with your conscience. If this message resonates with you, spend a few minutes meditating everyday, and sit facing north-west.

Paleo Bread
Paleo Bread
Ingredients
- 4 very ripe bananas, mashed
- ⅓ cup coconut oil , or butter, melted
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup coconut flour (you must use coconut flour – using another flour will not work!
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- optional add-ins: ⅓ cup dark chocolate chips (I like THESE because they are dairy and soy free), walnuts, pecans, slivered almonds, raisins, etc.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Throw everything together in a medium bowl and mix until combined.
- Pour into a lightly greased (use coconut oil or butter for greasing) bread pan.
- Bake for about 45 – 60 minutes or until center is set and top is golden. Enjoy!
*Your bananas should be extremely brown,
almost to the point when you would throw them away or freeze them. If
they are not overly ripe, your bread will not be as sweet and probably
not taste as good. If you are using non-ripe bananas, you should add
about a ⅓ cup of maple syrup to the batter.

My New England Boiled Dinner
1 ham shank
1 head cabbage cut in chunks through the core to keep attached
3-5 sweet potatoes cut in chunks
4-5 white potatoes cut in chunks
1 pk baby carrots
2 rutabaga cut in chunks
3-4 onions cut in half through center
5 garlic cloves cut in half
1 rounded teaspoon or more Italian seasoning's
8-10 chicken bouillon
Put in a turkey roaster and fill with enough water to almost cover veggies. put in a 350 degree oven for approx. 3 1/2 hours or until the veggies are cooked and soft. Serve in a lipped plate with some of the juice.
When you are finished with dinner just cut the rest of the ham into bite sized pieces and mash the veggies in the water they were cooked in. return the cut ham to the broth and you have a wonderful soup that freezes very well.
If you prefer split pea soup simply cook your peas in the liquid then add back the smashed veggies and cut up ham and you have the best split pea soup anywhere.
Planning a garden
I have been quite unhappy with the food supply and the chemicals being used without thought to their harmful effects on the human body. With the onset of the stupidity of both the individual states and out government in taking such approaches as to tell people that rain water falling on their property is not theirs unless they pay their state, you can't keep more than a 30 day supply of food without being charged with an attempt to over throw the government, or that gardens are illegal in some states, it has made me even more determined to garden. I refuse to give up my rights as a US citizen or my right as a person living on this planet. Monsanto needs to be brought down but until that happens I will be gardening for my fruits and veggies.
Anyone wishing to also follow suit may like to join our little group for tips.

HEAL ALL SPELL
Take a blue Candle and carve the persons name in it. Light it. Say,
"Healing light, Shinning bright. Let (name)'s Sickness Flee in fright!
With harm to none, Including me. I cast this spell So mote it be!"
The tree of life ~The gift of unity
The tree of life can be made as a pendant, ear rings or a broach. It reminds us of the unity of family. As a special mothers day present or Yule present for a mother or grandmother would be to make some of the beads green like leaves and add the colors of the children or grand children's birthstone colors. Each branch could be a child's family.
It would also be quite nice used as a tool to draw something to you like green for money and so on. will include the colors for birth stones and as a charm to draw things to you.
It would make a great stocking stuffer craft. Simply get a pretty jewellery box and include the instructions (photos) and the meaning behind the colors.
A wonderful craft for crafty pre-teens and teens. And a heart felt gift from anyone. Items to include are at the bottom of this blog.
