Around your garden plot, dig a small hole at the cardinal points. This is ideally done when the plot is just freshly turned and nothing has been planted yet.
Late at night, walk three times deosil around the plot, holding a torch or candle. Plant it in the center of the garden.
"Great Earth Mother, I call you Gaia, Mother of All. Receive this light to quicken you towards the Waxing Light. We, your children, have need of power, your nurturing, your love manifest in abundance and growth. Great Mother, Awaken and Know You are loved in this Garden, and that my garden is sacred to you as a part of your manifold creation. Blessed Be."
Go to each cardinal point and pour libations of water, wine, milk and honey into the holes. As you do so, repeat:
"Air cannot freeze You
Nor Fire burn You
Nor Water drown You
Nor Earth bury You.
You are all Things.
And all things are One."
Now plant coins in the garden, fairly deep in the soil. Your finances will increase as the plants grow. Let the candle burn down. If the plot lies fallow for Winter, pour these same libations at the points while thanking the garden for its generosity once your final harvest is made. These libations also please any Little Folk who are living there or may attract them, an added blessing.
