Holiday Potpourri gift in a jar

Keep it in a Mason jar so it will stay fresh. Makes 12 half pint or 6 pint jars

7 Cups dried orange peel

2 Cup dried lemon zest

1 cup dried lime peal

10 Cinnamon sticks, snapped into thirds

1/2 Cup whole cloves

3/4 Cup pine needles

20 of allspice berries

20 juniper berries

Mix in a bowl and put in 1/2 pint or pint Mason jar to give as gifts and then tie with a decorative ribbon or piece of raffia. Add a note card, and give as gifts for your friends at Yule or anytime you want the feeling of a warm winters eve

 

Holiday potpourri

To use, simply scoop ½ of mix into a small pot, and cover with a few inches of water. Allow to simmer on low heat on your stovetop, adding water as the potpourri reduces down. You can also use a small potpourri-sized crock pot.
