Easy Hawaiian Chicken Stirfry

Was in the mood for something kind of sweet and had some leftover pineapple tidbits so this is what I came up with. It makes dinner for 4 and uses only 2 chicken thighs. Serve over hot rice.

1 cup baby carrots cooked and cut in half (leftover is fine)
1 small onion chopped largely
3 green onions chopped into 1/2 inch slices
1 small bunch Bok choy sliced in 1/2 inch slices most of the green removed

Stir fry quickly until veggies are tender crisp and add sauce (below). Serve over hot rice.

In a sauce pan heat

8 oz pineapple titbits including liquid
1 jam jar of a jalapeƱo pepper jam (I used this one) http://cronecronicles.blogspot.com/2014/04/strawberry-mango-pineapple-jalapeno.html
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon minced dry garlic

Then add 1 tablespoon corn starch to thicken and take off stove.

Blueberry Cream Cheese Quick Bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Spray a regular sized loaf pan and set aside

In a small bowl put
¼ cup Ocean Spray Craisins Blueberry Juice infused
1/8 cup hot water
Allow to sit 20 minutes while you make the bread & drain slightly.
Then add
¼ teaspoon Almond extract
¼ cup sour cream
3 oz cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon sugar

In a large bowl mix together
¼ cup butter
¾ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
beat until fluffy and then add
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup milk

mix well

In another small bowl mix together
¼ cup brown sugar or regular sugar

Put the contents of the big bowl into the loaf pan smoothing out to sides.
Cover that with the contents of the blueberry craisin and cream cheese mixture also smoothing out to the sides.
Sprinkle the crumbly brown sugar topping from the other little bowl over that and bake for 35-45 minutes until the top starts to brown and bread is done. Will still be a bit moist.

Caramel Vanilla Latte Gift in a jar

I like using the 8 oz plastic containers that the instant Foldgers comes in. If you take off the outside plastic it is clear under it and easy to write on. It also serves as a warning when you are low on your mix.

In a mixing bowl or in the old foldges jar mix
¾ cup instant coffee (I like foldgers)
1 cup sugar
1 ½ cup international delights vanilla caramel powdered coffee creamer (divided)

If using the jar to also shake the ingredients together then follow this method
Add the coffee and sugar and one cup of the creamer and shake well when dispersed then add the last ½ cup creamer and shake once more to mix well.

If doing in a bowl and then adding to a jar simply mix it all together and then put into a jar or jars.

To serve simply put 2-4 slightly rounded tablespoons into a cup (depending on size of cup).

Sprouting Seeds for eating

Rinse about 1 1/2 tablespoons of seeds and put them in a jar. Pour some boiling water into a mug or jug and add cold water until you can comfortably dip your fingers in it. Pour it over the seeds, cover the jar with a piece of J cloth or muslin, secure with a rubber band and leave overnight. Drain away the water then rinse the seeds twice a day with fresh lukewarm water, shaking the jar then tipping it upside down and draining away the water so that the seeds don’t rot. After 4 days you should be able to eat them and they’ll keep in the fridge for another 4 days. Start another batch of seeds so you have a constant supply.

Drawing Down the Sun

Choose the time of day that is best for your purpose. Clear conditions are ideal though of course you cannot look directly at the Sun at any time. Eventually you will be able to visualize the orb. Though Sunday is the special day of the Sun, you can choose any day that feels right.
Decide on the kind of Sun energy you want to focus on for this particular ceremony, a loving Sun Mother to bring joy, abundance and a sense of well-being, and aesthetic Sun God for spiritual and mental clarity and focused creativity or a warrior to empower you and give you the courage of purpose. You don’t have to pick a God or Goddess from a particular culture but can picture you own or use the Sun itself as your focus of light, life and health bringing powers. You can adapt your chant accordingly or use one that refers to these attributes.
1. Occasionally, just draw down the Sun or recite your chant as a way of giving thanks for life or to send the Sun to those who need it spiritually or in actuality.
2. Find your Sun place where at particular times of the year the Sun casts radiating beams or dancing rays. You may have to wait for just the right conditions for your first Sun encounter.
3. Mediterranean and oceanic tropical sunrises can be spectacular and can be appreciated while on vacation. A few minutes of solitary sunset connection can be a very deep healing experience.
4. It may help to hold a clear crystal or rainbow quartz (any with fractures inside will reflect rainbows).
5. Set on the ground, on a rock or on your outdoor altar a dish of any gold jewelry, golden crystals, gold-colored coins, flowers and fruit to be empowered by the Sun.
6. Next to it place a glass bowl of sparkling mineral water Afterwards the water will be charged with the power of the Sun and you can use it in baths or to splash on pulse points.
7. Raise your arms high and wide, palms uppermost and set your feet quite widely apart.
8. Speak your words aloud, unless there are too many people around.
9. Then wait until you feel the light beginning to enter you.
10. Now move your arms so they are extended horizontally either side of your body with your palms still upward to absorb the light. At this point breathe in the golden light through your nose, slowly and gently, and exhale the darkness through your mouth.
11. As you continue breathing, visualize the light spreading to every part of your body from your toes right to the tips of your fingers and the crown of you head.
12. Allow the light to extend now beyond your body, forming a shield of golden rays all around you and above you so that you are enclosed in a shimmering sphere.
13. Gradually move your arms and hands so they cross at about waist height. Repeat this in succession and in the rhythm that is right for you, raising, extending and enfolding yourself with light as if you were splashing it over yourself.
14. When you feel that you are completely filled with the radiance, cease to breathe in gold deliberately. Stand with your arms still raised, close together in front of your body with elbows bent.
15. Say slowly and with confidence three times:
“I am filled with the light of the Sun. I am pure light.”
16. Allow the energies to flow between your body, the pool of light and the golden sphere.
17. Kneel or reach down and splash a few drops of the newly made Sun water on your hairline, brow, throat and wrist, saying:
“The Sun enters my spirit, enriches my mind, transforms my words and warms my heart. Blessings Be.”
18. Listen and you may hear a message from the Sun Mother of Father.
19. If you face opposition or spite, shake your fingers and see golden sparks emanate from your fingertips like miniature Sun rays.
20. Extend your arms in a circle over your head so you create a psychic protective force field of sparks all around you that will gently repel any malice.
21. Make a sign, perhaps touching the place between and just above your eyes that is your third eye. Or you may prefer to touch your heart or make a circle in the palm of you hand.
22. As you do so, say:
“When I touch my brow/heart, I will invoke the Power of the Sun with me.”
23. Look upwards and picture the Sun Mother or Father or a whirling, spinning solar disc and gradually allow the radiance and the Goddess to fade, knowing that you can recall the Sun into your life any time you are in need, just by making your psychic sign.
24. Spend the rest of the day or at least part of it in the Sunshine and the next day do something amazingly brave to make the most of your new power.

Asian Chicken in a crockpot and next day noodle dish

Was very good and the scent was incredible but the sauce wasn't what I was hoping for. Will be tweaking this one

6 pieces of chicken - three thighs and three breasts.
1 teaspoon oil
1/2 an onion chopped
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon adobo
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup chicken stock
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 teaspoons chopped garlic from jar
1/2 cup jam (I used my own homemade Honey Pear Apple Jam)

I threw it all together in a crock pot and we will see what comes out

So tomorrows dinner will be the leftovers shredded and served over noodles.

 Noodle dish

In a baking dish add the shredded leftover chicken, the sauce from the day before and enough noodles to mix with the leftover sauce to make a noodle dish. I used a cup and a little over of noodles. Put all together with the uncooked noodles and bake 45 minutes covered with foil until noodles are done in a preheated 350 degree oven.

Dutch Oven Peach Cobler "Dump Cake"

Some folks call this a 'dump cake' GREAT beginner recipe, esp. for outdoor cooking.

1 box yellow cake mix (can use white, but yellow tastes better with peaches)
1/2 stick butter/margarine
1 large can(s) peach slices
side of vanilla ice cream (optional)
EQUIPMENT
12 inch shallow dutch oven - the kind with legs. this recipe just doesn't work with a 12 inch deep
1 pair long tongs - to move around charcoals
1 long handled claw hammer (this is the lid lifter) to use when there are hot coals on the lid
2 aluminum roasting pans. 1 is to cook in, the second is a clean surface to put the lid down while you stir & add stuff
LOTS charcoal starter fluid

1. light 24 charcoals. They will be ready to use in ONLY ten mins (don't be fooled into waiting too long, they don't have to be completely glowing. If you wait more than 10 to 13 mins, you won't get the full cooking time out of your charcoals)
2. If your oven isn't already well-seasoned, start by using a bit of butter/margarine/cooking oil to grease it down on the bottom and about halfway up the sides.
3. open & dump peaches into Dutch oven
4. open cake mix & spread it evenly over peaches (yes, use it dry)
5. cut up the butter/margarine and drop little pieces across the cake mix. Put the lid on the oven.
6. make a ring of 7 charcoals and place 3 charcoals inside the ring. the ring should be just smaller than the bottom surface of your oven. Place the oven over this ring
7. place the remaining 14 charcoals on the lid by making a ring of 10 or 11 around the outside & place 3/4 inside
8. Don't touch it for 40 mins - it's tempting, esp. when you're excited about trying a new oven
9. at 40 to 45 mins: You need a CLEAN surface to put the lid on, or a strong arm to hold the lid up during all checking.
10. It's almost done when there's a crust forming on top & it's starting to brown - even if only in spots. At that almost done point, I take all the charcoals from the bottom & place them on the top. This speeds up the top browning & prevents burnage on the bottom. Keep checking every 3 or so mins until the top is nicely browned. It may be brown in patches - that's ok - don't wait for the whole thing to be evenly browned. Judge readiness by the most browned spots. You can spread the cake mix a little more evenly the next time =)

Saving Cast Iron Cook Wear.

How do you save cast iron cook wear. You see I go to a lot of yard sales and aucions. I look for old cast iron cook wear. And i have found a lot. I have been able to save most of what I buy.

Here is what i do when i find cast iron cook wear. It takes a little work. But it is worth it. you will need some corse sand paper and, some fine sand papet. and some coke. What I do first sand the cook ware with corse sand paper. Then wash with soap and hot water. Dry it (you may need to sand and wash 2-3 times) Then I use the fine sand paper and wash 2-3 times. By then you should be down to the bare matal. I then put it on the stove. pour coke in the cook wear(coke only) and bring to a boil. Do this 2-3 times. Wash and dry real good.. I then put a coat of oil in and on ,inside and out side. I cook the cook wear on a grill bring to 350-400 for 1 hour. Let it cool down. (I do mine on a baral grill out side because of somke and how many i do at a time). I do this at least 2 times or 3. Then after it cools down put a thin coat of oil on it and you should be ready to go. I have been able to give my 2 sons a set this way. And i have 3 sets myself. I hope this helps.

Dutch Oven CAMP COBBLER

Pile up 24 charcoal briquettes in your campfire pit and place one or two fire starters on top of the charcoal.
Light the fire starters. Allow the charcoal to burn until the exterior of the briquettes is ashy and gray.

Prepare a 12-inch Dutch oven by lining the inside with aluminum foil.
Use your can opener to open a 32-ounce can of fruit cocktail, a 32-ounce can of peaches and a 16-ounce can of pineapple.
Pour the fruit and juices into the aluminum-foil-lined Dutch oven.

Add 1/2 cup instant tapioca to the fruit mix and stir well to combine.

Pour the yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit and tapioca combination.
Add 1 cup brown sugar, sprinkling it over the cake mix.
Cut one stick of margarine into thin slices and place them all over the top of your Camp Cobbler.

Cover your Camp Cobbler ingredients with the Dutch oven lid. Put on an oven mitt and use tongs to pick up eight charcoal briquettes and place them on the ground or in the fire pit where you intend to cook your Camp Cobbler.
Place the charcoal pieces close enough to form a base on which the Dutch oven will sit.

Set the Dutch oven on top of the eight charcoal briquettes.
Place 16 charcoal briquettes on top of the Dutch oven.
Bake your Camp Cobbler for 45 to 60 minutes.
When the cake is golden brown and the cake mixture has become moist from the fruit juices, then you know your Camp Cobbler is ready.

Celebrate the Sacred Masculine on Father's Day

Celebrate the Sacred Masculine on Father's Day

It’s a perfect day to celebrate the sacred masculine within all of us and to highlight the strong, warm, active power we all possess.

Create an altar with yellow candles, symbols of masculinity, and images of the Sun; include pictures of male relatives and admired men in your life. Cast a circle and stand before the altar, drawing on your power and strength.

Begin by speaking your feelings to the men pictured on the altar, emphasizing the qualities you admire. Light the yellow candles and call in the Sacred Masculine Divine. When he is present, stretch your arms upward to the sky and ask him to imbue you with the qualities that you admire. Feel that energy flow into your being and feel it mingle with your own energy.

Draw a deep breath and raise a cone of power in celebration of this masculine power in the universe and within you. Chant, starting softly and ending very loudly:
In the season of the Sun
I find wonder, strength, and power
Wonder, strength, and power
Power, power, power
Power
Power!
Ground the excess energy into Earth. Thank the spirits that are present and especially thank the gods and forefathers for their strength and power. Open the circle. Blessed Be.

4 lbs ground beef
3 cups chopped onion
2 bell peppers chopped
3 cans pinto beans
1 can black bean
2 cans corn
2 cans Mexican stewed tomatoes
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can tomatoes with green chilis (such as rotel)
2 cans green chilis
2 cans black olives
1 can tomato sauce
3 TBS cumin
1 TBS black pepper
1 TBS salt
2 TBS garlic powder
1 TBS onion powder

In a large pot, combine ground beef, onion and bell pepper. Cook until beef is no longer pink. Drain mixture well. Combine beef mixture in a large stockpot with all other ingredients except vegetable juice. Add 2-3 cups of vegetable juice, just enough to have a thick mixture, not too thin. Bring to a simmer. Ladle into hot jars leaving a generous 1 inch headspace. Process in a pressure canner at 11 lbs., pints for 75 minutes, quarts for 90 minutes.
This can be served over corn chips or Fritos topped with cheese, lettuce and sour cream. It can be served over rice or added to Velveeta cheese as Rotel dip, or served as a thick chili.
You can also use a snappy tom juice if you like a more heated dish!!!

Kitchen Sink Bread with oat pulp

I called it the kitchen sink bread because I used bits and pieces of skimpy leftovers to create it. Was pleasant tasting with a hint of orange cream. The consistency was like banana or nut bread.

1/2 stick butter (1/4 cup) melted
1 large egg
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup dreamcicle jelly (or any other jelly)

Beat the above together and add

1 3/4 cup flour (if jelly is kind of solid use only 1 1/2 cups flour.)

Fold into a sprayed bread loaf pan and bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.

Summer Iced Coffee

By Gerina Dunwhich

To experience a dream about the man or woman destined to be your future marriage mate, pluck 10 stalks of yarrow on Beltane Eve (April 30) or on a night when the moon is new. Before going to bed, place nine of the stalks beneath your Pillow and toss the remaining one over your left shoulder While repeating the following charm:

"Good night, good night, fair yarrow,

Thrice good night to thee.

I pray before the dawn tomorrow,

My true love to see.

Beltane Love Divination Yarrow 2

Sew an ounce of yarrow in a piece of flannel or stuff it into a stocking and then place it beneath your pillow before going to bed. You may speak this charm (or a variation) three times

Happy Mothers Day

A Baby Asked the Goddess,

A Baby asked, Goddess?, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?" "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take
Care of you."

The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in the Summerland’s I don't have to do anything but sing And smile to be happy." The Goddess said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."

Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"

The Goddess said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?" The Goddess said, "Your angel will take you hand in hand along the many places, of my sister, the Earth Mother, and place you upon the many sands, and waters, of these places, and you will learn to listen for me, and to speak to me in meditation and prayer."

"Who will protect me?" The Goddess said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."

"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore." The Goddess, said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in The Summerland’s, but voices from Earth could be heard
And the child hurriedly asked, "GODDESS, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

"You will simply call her, "Mom."

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL!!

5 1/2 c flour (i use spelt flour)
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 Tbsp sugar
2 pkg active dry quick rise yeast
1/4 c cornmeal for dusting pans and tops of loaves
Preheat oven to 400F.

Scald the milk and water until it's a bit hot on your inner wrist (110 Fahrenheit). Spray 2 regular loaf pans, 9 x 5 x 3 inches, and dust with cornmeal. In a large mixing bowl, stir together about 3 cups of flour, the salt, sugar, soda, and yeast.

Add the hot milk/water all at once and beat with spoon until smooth. Add the remaining flour.

Spoon immediately into the prepared bread pans and dust tops with cornmeal. Cover with a light, dry cloth or paper towels and let rise until almost double in bulk (about 30- 45 minutes). Bake in a fully preheated oven for 25 minutes. IMMEDIATELY remove from pans and let cool on a rack. Do not slice while hot,  to prevent a gummy core. Freezes well; makes terrific toast; tastes great with cream cheese and/or jam. Not really a slice and eat bread, much better as toast.

My Mom's Old Fashioned Chocolate Covered Cherries

FOR CENTER
3 lbs powdered sugar
1 can eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
½ cup butter
ALSO NEED
3-5 jars of maraschino cherries
12 -18 oz chocolate chips MOM always added 1-2 tablespoon paraffin wax to create a sheen.

Mix the first 3 ingredients and cook 1-2 hours in fridge
Then drain the cherries of juice and set on a paper towel to dry. (use the juice else where)
Take some of the powdered sugar mix and flatten out in your fingers and put around the cherry and seal it all the way around. Put those on a cookie sheet and freeze over night.

Next day melt chocolate chips and paraffin wax on a double boiler and dip the cherries and set on some waxed paper to dry. Make sure all the white is covered. Then put into a old candy box like my mom or into tins on candy papers and let sit in a cool place. Mom did under her bed to hide them from us for 6-8 weeks. The longer you leave them the more liquid the center is.

OUR DOLLAR BILL

My notes:
Understand I am not a bible thumper nor do I believe the bible is anything more than a tool to enslave and keep people in line but our government does that as well.

http://worldtruth.tv/
The bills may say “In God We Trust”, but the many arcane symbols that swirl around it let you know that it’s not the God of the bible they are referring to.

1). Novus Ordo Seclorum: A Latin phrase which means “a new order of the ages” is born. Literally, it is calling for a New World Order.

2). Annuit Coeptis: A Latin phrase which means “he has favored our undertakings”.

3). The Egyptian Pyramid: One of the great Illuminati symbols, the triangle, representing the ancient wisdom of Egypt. In the bible, Egypt is always a type of the unsaved world rebelling against God.

4). The All-Seeing Eye Of Horus: Horus was worshipped in the ancient world as a god of protection, and was often depicted as a falcon swooping in to catch it’s prey. Horus was the child of Isis and Osiris conceived through witchcraft in Egyptian mythology. The symbol of America – the swooping Bald Eagle – was patterned after falcon of Horus. The All-seeing-Eye is taken from the left eye, the “moon” or “sound” eye of Horus. Horus is a detestable pagan god, the son of Osiris and Isis. There is much pagan Egyptian mythology in the roots of Masonry and Mormonism. So why is it on our dollar bill?

5). 13 Levels: The pyramid has 13 steps, or levels leading up to the capstone. In the bible, 13 is the number for rebellion. America was created when our founding fathers rebelled against King George.

6). MDCCLXXI: These Roman numerals refer to founding of the Illuminati as an organization on May 1, 1776. This is not a reference to our Independence Day of July 4th, 1776.

7). 13 Stars: Again, the biblical number for rebellion – 13 – forms the basis of the Great Seal. The number 13 is all over the dollar bill.

8). E Pluribus Unum: Another Latin phrase which means “from many, one”. You will note that this phrase contains exactly 13 letters. Amazing coincidence.

9). A Spiders Web: When you look at the background pattern of the dollar bill, you will clearly see that it is a spider’s web. The spider and the spider web in ancient cultures represented death, treachery and conquest.

10). Olive Leaves and Berries: You will note that the eagle is holding 13 olives leaves with 13 olive berries. The olive leaf is a sign of peace, but the eagle’s claws are closed to represent that these things are being taken away, and not being offered.

So ask yourself this – Why would our founding fathers, and those who have come after, fill our money with the very symbols of the occult from the ancient world? Why do we see this constant reference to hidden and secret societies at the highest levels of our government? We will allow our most famous founding father, and the recognized leader of the new America to have the last word. George Washington warned us many centuries ago that, intertwined in the new birth of America, the seeds of an evil cabal had already been sown with the creation of the Illuminati on May 1, 1776, just two months before we would declare our independence from England.
