Sit, listen to the wind, birds and trees. Allow the beauty and chaos that is nature to enter and propel you through this time we call life. Breath in the smells of an open fire place and a camp fire. Know the difference they have on you and your surroundings. Give with an open heart and mind. Know that there are richer and poorer. But never measure those two thoughts by the amount of money one has. For richness is how you live and give of yourself, not what you have.

Tarot Spells
Tarot spells are similar to other spells. Basically, cards are selected from the deck which are significant to the spell in question. For example, a love spell would more than likely include the lovers card, perhaps the magician to show the power in a situation, maybe the wheel of fortune, to represent the topsy turvy world of love, etc. You are limited only by your imagination and none of the spells are set in stone. Spells are most effective when they are created by you, with your particular situation in mind. There are basic steps that you can follow, but again, these are not necessarily set in stone.
Steps for spells
You really should be familiar with the basic meanings of
the tarot cards in order to choose the cards which have the most to do with your particular situation. There are several books which can help you to familiarize yourself with card meanings.
You would probably choose anywhere from 3 to 7 cards. However many you think would be needed.
A tarot spell is a form of meditation. A way to concentrate on what it is you really want. You would be surprised to find the sort of things you come up with. They will work, because your attitudes will guide them, your thoughts will help you make the right decisions. Most spells or meditations rely on rituals which make the meditation exercises more effective by helping to set the mood. The right mood can be set in many different ways. Do you
want to gather beautiful things around you? Flowers, scented candles, a picture of a loved one? Or do you want to get down to basics. (A white sheet on a bare floor, perhaps one small candle, or no extra lighting at all)
It really all depends on you and your own particular personality. You have made things happen before. Remember the times when you were a child and could believe in anything? Try to regain that faith. It is unfortunate that as we grow up, we begin to lose our child-like wonder and expectations. We can regain those things, the world has not changed that much, and you CAN make a bad situation better. You have only to believe. Believe that you can do it, that those around you can help, and above all, that there is someone, or some being looking out for you, but you must act.
STEPS
1. Find anywhere from 3-7 cards to represent what you'd like to accomplish.
2. Choose a time to work the spell when you won't be interrupted, where you might meditate in peace.
3. If you'd like, choose some props to help in your meditations. These can be as simple or as ornate as you'd like them to be.
4. The best way to begin is by sorting through the cards you have chosen. Try to put them in order of importance, the first card being the least important one. Lay that card down and say out loud, something along the lines of.
"I have chosen this card, the ace of swords, because for me, it has always represented power and accomplishment, and I want to accomplish many things." (you would then proceed in this same manner)
Next, I have chosen the fool, because it represents a worry free spirit and I know I must not worry about what I cannot change" Next, I choose the lovers, because I know that there is someone for everyone out there and I want to find my "other half".
"Finally, I choose, what is most important to me, the death card, because I need to put to an end, all the negative in my life and have a re-birth of ideas and feelings."
5. Once you have finished meditating, you may close the spell by blowing out a candle, thinking quietly, doing a little dance, whatever you feel like doing to end it.
*NOTE, Look through the cards and choose the cards that stand out in your mind, don't analyze why you are choosing them until you get to the point in the spell where you are ready to declare your reasons. The very spontaneity of the situation may prove a pleasant and eye-opening experience

A BANISHING SPELL
This spell can be used to banish afflictions of all sorts and to renew one's strength following an affliction. It is most powerful when worked in the late evening.
You will need:
•Three cups of fresh rainwater
•A large bowl
•Two small bowls
•A silver knife
•A lock of lamb's wool
•Pure, virgin olive oil
•Red wine vinegar
•A 7" x 7" square of white, cotton cloth
•Seven blades of green grass
•A candle (any color, but white or natural beeswax is best)
Pour the rainwater into the large bowl. Light the candle. Take the silver knife and write with its point on the water's surface, the name of that which afflicts you.
Pour some olive oil in one of the small bowls and soak the lamb's wool in the oil.
Next, pour some red wine vinegar in the other bowl and soak the lamb's wool in the vinegar.
Remove the wool from the vinegar and drop it into the water. The contents of the other bowls, containing the olive oil and vinegar, should be emptied out onto the ground.
Extinguish the candle.
Leave the lamb's wool to soak in the water overnight. At sunrise, remove the lock of wool from the water, wring it out, and set it to dry on the white cotton cloth. When the lamb's wool is fully dry, it should be sewn up in the white, cotton cloth along with the seven blades of grass. Keep the pouch under your pillow while you sleep.
Myrrh
Myrrh-(Protection, Exorcism, Healing, Spirituality)
Myrrh was burned to Ra at noon in ancient Egypt, and was also fumed in the temples if Isis.
Burned as an incense, myrrh purifies the area, lifts the vibrations and creates peace. However, it is rarely burned alone; usually in conjunction with
Frankincense or other resins. Myrrh increases the power of any incense to which it is added.
Myrrh is also included in healing incenses and sachets, and its smoke is used to consecrate, purify and bless objects such as talismans, amulets, charms and magickal tools.
Myrrh also aids meditation and contemplation. It is often added to sachets, usually with Frankincense.
Considering the plant's shape and the fact that its gum resin has been used as a drying stimulant, it is easy to place this incense in Mars. The thorns of the tree represent the grief of loss as well as the resin's ability to protect and heal. This is an excellent incense to help with loss, whether it be that of a loved one or a great injury (and thus loss of safety) done to one's heart, spirit, or body. It brings Martial protection to the injured and is wonderful for all sorts of purification.
In the Kabbalah, it is associated with Binah, and it connects with Crone energy and thus the Underworld and the Abyss.

Crystals and Tarot Cards by Peggy Jentoft
Many people have personal associations between specific Tarot cards and crystals, and several books and tarot traditions also have lists of correspondences.
Some people use Crystals in a form of divination with or like Tarot cards.
They may substitute crystals for the Tarot cards or read the Tarot card for chosen crystals.
You can also use the crystals to enhance or carry the energy and intention of specific Tarot card in healing or other work.
Ursula Markam's "Fortune telling with Crystals & Semiprecious Gemstones" It is out of print and I have not seen copy yet. I cannot offer any particular guidance on using crystals as Tarot cards directly.
Though one way you can use this correspondence is to choose the crystal that most attracts you or another person and consider the qualities and information of the related Tarot card.
I had used a Tarot, crystal combo in healing work many years ago but my choices were intuitive.
Below are some suggestions from several different writers and other sources.
For healing work and enhancing affirmations, you can charge or infuse or harmonize a clear quartz crystal or an appropriate stone with a specific tarot card energy.
Usually this is done by holding the card and the crystal together, or putting the crystal on the cards and using focused attention intention to request and fix the energy to be carried by the crystal.

Roll out pie shells and in a sprayed pie pan place the bottom crust. Top with all the apple mixture. spread out to evenly line pan. top with the other crust and crimp edges and cut a design to allow steam to escape. top with remaining 1/2 tablespoon sugar and bake for 50 minutes in a 375 degree oven.

Banana facts
This is interesting. After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in the same way again.
Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.
Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.
But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.
DEPRESSION:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.
PMS:
Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.
ANEMIA:
High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.
BLOOD PRESSURE:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.
BRAIN POWER:
200 students at a Twickenham school ( England ) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.
CONSTIPATION:
High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
HANGOVERS:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.
HEARTBURN:
Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.
MORNING SICKNESS:
Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.
MOSQUITO BITES:
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.
NERVES:
Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system..
Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.
ULCERS:
The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chroniclercases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL:
Many other cultures see bananas as a 'cooling' fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.
So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has FOUR TIMES the protein, TWICE the carbohydrate, THREE TIMES the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals.. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, 'A BANANA a day keeps the doctor away!'

Third Book off to Press
Done with the book finally and tweaked the cover. Just finished the blurb that will run with it.
"Within the magical setting of an island paradise, a dark presences awaits. As everyday life springs forth, the expectations of a young couple for a quiet life are turned upside down. While raising their child far away from their dubious past, they never suspected that their gifted son would already have access to even their darkest secrets. Still learning to cope with abilities that even his parents were unaware of, the young child foresees the death of his mother. He then must devise a plan to save her and enlists the help of his father, the spirit of his great grandfather (a medicine man), and an ancient entity.
And so the battle begins."
