CANDLE PROTECTION SPELL TO STOP HARASSMENT

Timing: During the waning moon. Use a brown candle (an image candle, if you can) to represent the person who is harassing you.

Write the person's name on the front and back of the candle.

On a small piece of parchment paper, write:

'From now on, (name) will say nothing but sweet words about me and to me.
By the power of Aradia, so mote it be!'

Put a drop of honey in the middle of the paper and roll it into a ball.

Heat a knife, pin or your athame, make a gash in the candle (in its mouth, if it's an image candle) and stuff the paper ball into it.

Let the candle burn a little while every night for an odd number of nights, to a maximum of nine nights. Throw the remnants into flowing water, but save some candle drippings or ash to sprinkle in the path of your oppressor.

Get over it love Spell

GET OVER IT LOVE SPELL

Cast this spell on a Saturday, the day symbolizing death and endings.
This spell will enable you to view the relationship as finished and get on with your new life.

Hanging on to the past will itself be a thing of the past.
--1 yellow candle 2 sheets parchment paper or handmade paper green ink
--2 drops essential rose oil 2 drops sandalwood oil a piece of green stone, jade, or green glass
--1 green candle heat-resistant container

Cast a circle of protection. Light the yellow candle and repeat:

"I allow (name of ex-lover) to peacefully leave my life. I am glad that this is so. "

On the piece of parchment, write down all your negative feelings about the ending of the relationship, all the injustices and wounds you felt you were dealt. Do not hold back. Let your emotions bleed into the spell (figuratively speaking of course). Weep or wail if you wish-this is the time for grieving, and take as long as you must.

When you have completed your grieving and calmed yourself, sprinkle the oils over the paper.

Light the green candle and hold the parchment and glass bead over the flame.

Repeat three times:

"Let all fury, anger and despair depart my heart. (Name of ex-lover) is free to leave my life. I now allow the winds of change to bring my good fortune to me. "

Place the paper and glass (or mineral) into the heat-resistant dish and allow it to burn down into ash.

Feel the pain of the relationship burning away; allow the flames of anger to die down to embers, then ash.

When cool enough to handle, take the glass keepsake to a body of water and throw it into its depths and do not look back. As an alternative, bury it deep in the earth, and do not look back.

Allow the spell ten days to work.

how spells work

So in order to have a spell work you must have certain things in play.
1. and intended outsome
2. enough energy in your reserve or tap-able energy to see it through
3. all the outwardly influences being favorable
4. belief that it is what will happen

If any one of them are out of sinx it will not happen.

Always ask if it is a favorable time before beginning a spell. Know the correct day, moon placement, and time of year to do such a spell. Don't rush through a spell. And above all do not harm another or mess with another's will.

wax divination

To perform divination with candles, you will need a small bowl filled with
cool water, a variety of colored candles, matches or a lighter, and an open
mind. Put a white candle by each side of the bowl on an altar or table where
it can easily be reached by each person present.

Have each person present select a colored candle. Have the participants
choose the question they want answered by the divination beforehand, so the
question can be matched with the appropriate candle color.

Red is used for love and relationships.

Green is used for love prosperity, career, or jobs.

Yellow is used for school, study, creativity, and mental pursuits.

Light blue is used for health and recovery from illness.

Violet is used for spiritual growth.

Pink for friendships, children and pets.

Orange for changes and possible moves.

White is used for general life patterns.

Before the participants light their candles for divination, have each of
them call upon an ancestor whom they liked for aid.

To begin, have one person at a time light a candle of his or her choice.
Gently stir the water in the bowl in a clockwise direction, then have the
person with the candle let the wax slowly drip into the water while thinking
of the question to be answered. Patterns in the wax are scanned for symbols
that will answer the question. If any of the wax symbols break apart or are
indistinct, the meaning is modified. A list of possible symbols are
interpretations follows. After each reading, take out the used wax.

Airplane or boat, whole: travel; movement.

Airplane or boat, broken: danger of an accident.

basic and candle divinations

Divinatory Spell
Scott Cunningham's recipes have been used many times. You may find his version in Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem and Metal Magic p. 89.

Items Needed
Azurite Stone
2 Purple Candles
Cinnamon—either an essential oil or as an incense

Perform this spell either at the Full or Dark Moon.

Before performing this ritual light the incense. If you have chosen to use
the essential oil, either prepare and start burning your aroma lamp, or
place one drop of the oil on each wrist.

Ground and center yourself. Light the candles. Place the azurite between
the candles. Look at the flames and the stones for a moment and empty your
mind of all thoughts. Take the azurite into your hand until it is warm.
Close your eyes and concentrate on a question you have. Open your eyes and
gaze at the stone until you have received a message.

Notes on the items used in the spell:
Azurite stones has psychic powers and can be used in all divinatory rituals.
The color purple enhances psychic skills and can also be used in all
divinatory rituals. Cinnamon is a scent that promotes psychic work.

About the Moon Phase: During the Full Moon our psychic powers are at its
highest. The Dark Moon is a time of mystery and hidden secrets, another
good time to perform divination work.

Other Notes: If you like, add a purple altar cloth to cover your working
area. If you use candle holders, silver is an excellent metal for psychic
work.

CANDLES

Divining candle flames
This comes from Tammy Sullivan's book "Elemental Witches.

Anytime you light a candle for a magical purpose, you can divine the wax,
flame, and smoke patterns to interpret your answers. One simple but
effective method is to assign the candle right and left sides that
correspond to yes and no. If the candle drips first to the left and you
assigned that side to no, then the answer is no.

Other methods call for watching the flame dance or the smoke spiral in a
given direction. If it dances to the west you must watch your emotions.
If it dances to the east, you must use your mental processes. Likewise,
if it dances to the north, you will face a physical task, and if it
dances to the south, you will have an intense experience of success.

If the flame burns high and strongly, the magic is working, quickly and
will be successful. If it is burns low and almost smotherng itself out,
you need to cleanse the entire area, including yourself, and rework the
spell. If the flame is crackling, it means you are connected to the
divine. If it is sparking, it means to expect company.

If the soot around the candle turns the glass very black (like in a
novena), it is thought to mean that someone has been thinking ill of you.
A cleansing of the area should be performed. If the black soot is only
arough the top edge of the novena, it means that the magic encountered
opposition and may take a while to take effect.

If the smoke spirals toward you, the spell will work quickly. If it
drifts away from you, you will have to persevere in order for your wish
to be granted.

Some schools of thought teach to never blow out a candle flame, because
it is rude to the elemental spirits of the fire. Others teach never to
pinch them out. Likewise, some teach to never use matches and other say
to use only matches. These are things you should decide for yourself.
Also, when employing candles for magic, always allow them to burn
themselves out, if possible.

Candles are an important part of the holiday season. They add warmth and beauty to any holiday décor, they symbolize divinity, and magical tradition tells us that a candle flame can “speak” to us and answer our questions. Take a break from the holiday rush and work this spell. You’ll need a new white, red, or green taper. Sit quietly and think of your question, then light the candle. Carefully watch the flame. If the flame burns steady, the answer to your question is yes. If the flame cracks and sputters, but then burns with a steady flame, you’ll face an obstacle; then your wish will come to you. If the flame sputters out completely, your wish won’t come to you at this time. Wait about a week and try again.

A simple Yule Prayer and ritual

The night or day before Yule say:

We have passed through the time of
Darkness. The Goddess has carried us gently. I
Now welcome the newborn Sun child.
May his birth bring good cheer to all the world!
May this yule log (or candles three) bring him
Strength and comfort.
Blessed Be!

Light three white or yellow candles or a yule log with three candles. Let
the three candles burn 'til dawn or until they burn out. At dawn first light
a black then red then white candle and say:

Blessed be the Great Mother who is at
Once Maid, Mother, and Crone. Blessed is she,
Creatrix of allthings Great and small.
Now begins the cycle again.

Let the candles burn out.

House candle magick

A house blessing is a common ritual used when moving into a new dwelling.
When moving into a new home a common problem may be that you feel disturbed by The atmosphere left by the previous occupants. This matter can be dealt with  Fairly easily to change the atmosphere to suit yourself and family.

Another time a house blessing may be called for is when it becomes necessary to Cleanse an occupied dwelling of negative circumstances, such as death, Disagreements, hatred, or anger. The main function is to clean the house of all Unwanted energies or beings, to seal portals to the outside world, and to make It a sacred and personal space.

A house blessing is best be done on a Monday or Saturday closest to the new Moon.

You will need:

A twig or bunch of rowan wood
A piece of red ribbon or thread
A new white candle
A candle holder

Other inclusions, essential oils of:
Sage
Frankincense
Myrrh

Bless yourself with colour. For this purpose you can do this in the home.

Tie the rowan twig with the piece of red ribbon or thread and carry it around The whole house in a deosil direction [clockwise] in every room and space, Mentally sweeping out old energies. Sweep these out of the front door as if they Were dust.

Go out of the house by the front door, light the new white candle and carry it In. Anoint the door posts and lintel of the entrance doorway with a mix of Essential oils using the fingertips.

Taking the candle, enter each room of the house in turn, walking around eachbRoom in a deosil direction, and at the same time, visualizing bright newnlight  Entering the space. Facing the North wall of each room, draw a blessing invoking Pentagram [head point up] with the candle flame. Do the same at each doorway

You can also anoint each doorway as you did the main entrance to the dwelling.

When you have been through each room of the house and you return to the mian

Entrance of the dwelling, the atmosphere will have changed, and you will feel  This change. Now go and stand quietly in the centre of your home for a few Moments. Again use your candle to draw a circle about you in a deocil direction As though you were casting a circle. You may wish to use an athame for this Circle. Those who dwell in the house should now gather in this circle so as
to Raise a cone of energy to fill the house with power and Protection. Before snuffing out the candle, recite together a blessing that is  Suitable to your home, those who dwell in it and the circumstance that has Brought you to perform a home blessing.

Here is a simple blessing:

"Powers of Air, Fire, Earth, Water and Spirit,
I invite you to dwell within this home.
Share your qualities and powers with those who dwell here.
In Love, I bid you hail and welcome."

To Bless Your Book of Shadows

A Blue Candle
A Purple Candle
A Red Candle
A Green Candle
A Yellow Candle

Whether your BOS is a heavy-bound journal, a small personal diary, or a
3-ringed notebook, this spell will guard your book and enchant its pages. On
the night of the Full Moon, cast your circle and place your BOS on your
alter. Situate 5 candles (Purple, green, yellow, red, and blue) around your
book in a rough pentagram shape.

If you see fit, you can place the candles in their correct positions:
Purple
Blue ~ Green
Red ~ Yellow

Light the candles, starting with the purple and ending with the blue, and
say this or another verse: By the powers of center (north, south, east,
west), The forces of spirit (earth, air, fire, water), I bless and protect
this Book of Shadows From all unwanted forces and beings. With your power
hand, athame, or wand, draw an invoking pentagram on your BOS's cover and
say:

May no unprepared eye or hand behold this Blessed Book of Power.
Ancient Mother, behold this book.
Guard and bless its pages. Ancient Father, behold this book.
Guard and bless its pages.
By the powers of the Moon and stars above me.
So shall it be.

With this, the ritual is done. Some chose to bury the candles. Others choose
to use them for another spell. It's your choice what you do. It is
recommended that this spell is done for the 4 sabbats to mark your progress
and increase in power, but it also can be done once a year on that same
month's Full Moon.
