This next year for me is about returning to a simpler time and becoming more frugal, and use what we receive while blessing the fact that it came our way. Recycling things into usable and pretty items is going to be top of the do list. Check out these owls below.

2013 make it your year

Happy New Year

Happy New Year.

Welcome to a new chance, a new beginning, a new awakening. 2013 is shaping up to be quite a show. This year there is an asteroid coming near years end that will not be seen again in many lifetimes. That would be reason enough to get excited, but it is nothing compared to the show the Republicans and Democrats are putting on. The election left is believing we had won our freedoms once again and had put our nation in the hands of the better party. Well I still believe that but, it in no way lessens what we are witnessing.

It amazes me how easy we are lead, like a child following shiny things. The truth is it didn't mater which group took office here in the States, either way we were on the way to loosing our rights. Not only that but we are demanding it. Wake up people, this is all our lives you are gambling with. If the Republicans got in, it would be labor unions and soon our right to bargain. With the democrats it was gun control and ultimately taking that right away. Either way we are in the process of loosing our rights and freedoms.  But each need to save face so we do not notice. A bit of slight of hand, enter the perfect reason to get their way. Kids shooting each-other. Now the stage is set. You are not only watching the best reality show going but you are participants. It is understood, of course the unaware populist will scream we have to save the children. What is a few lives to achieve the greater good. Further control on a herd of slaves. The best part not one in 50,000 would ever dream they were not only slaves, but pawns in a game of acceptable losses to the one percent. But make no mistake we are. If you have been on Facebook or even this blog you have seen we are being threatened about our right to free speech. For those who just tuned in we lost that one, government says we can't divulge what we discovered about the Shooting at the school a month or so back.

That being said, Happy New Year, May you find a light at the end of every rainbow.

Happy new year. This is the long awaited end of the Mayan Calender year and we are beginning a journey into the unknown as we enter "the time of no time" as one of my two favorite authors (Gregg Braden) has called it.

If you were drinking last night as many still do to celebrate the new year. Here is a tip to save your splitting head. Buy and drink the biggest Coconut water you can find. They are in most grocery stores and all health food stores. also water. lots of water. Had you also drank a large glass before going to bed last night you might not need this info now. Water and electrolyte's what your body is craving.

Many are already starting to break those new years resolutions while still others are hoping to hold tight to their convictions. I am the later. My resolution was to simply my life, shop locally and craft fairs. Create my own Yuletide Presents and to ask for the same. And to boycott those companies that have shipped our jobs elsewhere, those companies that keep their employes at low wages without insurance, and those pushing ads that insist we have no brains. That being said I have found many are saying things like I want to loose ten pounds. That makes me sad that that would be the utmost thing on their minds. Not our well being, the homeless, jobless, or in pain, just a couple of pounds, really now.

For those wanting to free your self from a habit, thought, idea, past association, guilt or a blockage here is a spell for that.

Purification Spell (A great spell for the new year.)

If you wish to be free from a habit, thought, idea; if you wish to be rid of past associations, guilt or blockages; take the symbols of that problem - whatever they may be - & throw them onto a raging fire. The fire will consume the symbols & so shall it consume the power they had over you.
For the symbols think a moment - if you overeat, take a portion of your favorite food & throw it onto the fire. Smoking, drinking the same. For problems which utilize no concrete objects, draw a symbol or image & burn.

A Spiritual Meditation Chant to the Goddess
Goddess please send in flight,
Sight from up above,
Let it fill me up with light,
Let it fill me up with love.

Please take me to a place,
Where I feel so much at home.
A special private space,
Where my mind is free to roam.

From my body I am free,
Like a bird my spirit soars,
I am now at peace and ease,
Walking through the spiritual door.

I originally meant for this chant to be called with my eyes closed, but instead I repeated it 3 times while focusing on my shrine and found that my vision became cloudy and it looked like my room had filled with a white aura, apart from the space where my shrine is, which remained crystal clear. As I kept repeating the chant, it became even more so, and it looked like the aura was moving, sort of like a fog rolling in. It was strange, and I guess, even though I wrote it, I don't really know what exactly my spell does! Ha ha! Try it if you like, and if it works for you, please consider putting it on the website- maybe someone can figure it out! Lol
