Focaccia Bread

Tonight we had an easy summer meal, sandwiches. I made the facaccia this morning and we loved the aroma all day until we could stand it no more then we ate.

Finished bread
2 3/4 cup Flour
1 package rapid rise yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon fresh grated black pepper

In a large Bowl mix the above and then add

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup hot tap water

Mix well and knead until smooth and elastic. Then put in a oiled bowl and turn a couple of times to cover top and place a cloth over and allow to rise 20 minutes until double.

Spray a baking sheet and shape the dough into a oblong bread.
Top with
1 tablespoon butter
thin rings of onion
sun dried tomatoes
1 cup mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon parmesan cheese

Put in oven for 20-30 minutes in a 350 degree oven.  Cool.

Bread sliced in half and used as a sandwich
