Money Saving Chicken Broccoli Alredo Casserole



I was looking for a cheap way to use a  little bit of meat and stretch it into two meals when I created this wonderful dish.. Since it is just us two we had two meals from this and were just as happy the second time around. This easy money saving dish only uses 5 chicken tenders to feed a family of 4-5 people. The taste is amazing and it will bring them to the table early as the aroma us just wonderful
 
 
Ingredients
2 c noodles, cooked ( i used 1 cup spirals and 1 cup elbows)
4 oz sliced mushrooms
1 sm diced onion
1 md head broccoli flowers (2 cups)
1 jar(s) alfredo sauce or homemade
1 tsp garlic powder or cloves minced
1/2 tsp italian seasoning
parmesan cheese
freshly ground black pepper (salt optional)
5 frozen uncooked chicken tenders (defrosted)

1. Put the broccoli in water and bring to a boil, Take off heat cover and let sit 10 minutes. drain and set aside
2. In mean time cook noodles, drain and set aside.
3. In a fry pan cook chicken until done adding the garlic and italian seasonings. Take out cut into bite sized peaces and return to pan add onion and mushrooms and saute until onion is opaque and mushroom are cooked. add the noodles and broccoli and heat through add alredo sauce and heat well. transfer to a serving dish and add parmeasan cheese over top.
