Halloween ghost stories are told around the camp fire or after dark on Halloween night. Halloween is both a secular and pagan holiday and noted for being a time when the veil is thinnest between the spirit world and the world of the living.

Blody Mary
Beware playing this game during Halloween slumber parties. You may summon a vengeful ghost if you stand before a mirror and chant Bloody Mary. Depending on who you talk to, the ghost may drive you insane, slay you or pull you into the mirror, never to be seen again.
Bloody Footprints
On Halloween night, the restless dead are said to return to their favorite hauntings. However, it's also a night when the guilty must retrace their steps, and their victims who received no justice wail their discontent.
If you look closely at crime scenes, you may see the bloody footprints of the guilty or the victim as they are forced to relive those moments over and over again.
Cemetery Legends
Imagine you make a bet with your friends that you can spend the night in the cemetery. You go to the cemetery willingly and let your friends lock you inside a crypt where you must spend the night with the dead with no way out.
The next morning, you may be unable to speak about happened to you during the night.
Tales of those who spent the night in the graveyard often recount how the person was found the next day in a catatonic state. Some people are so profoundly affected that even their hair has turned white. No one can say which ghosts visited them during the night because they never speak again.
Arms of an Angel
One popular Halloween tale is a cautionary one. It is the story of a young person who makes a bet with his friends that he can spend the night in the cemetery on Halloween night.
According to the story, the boy is found the next morning lying in the arms of a stone angel without a mark on him. Nonetheless, the youth is dead.
This ghost story never says exactly what happened to the victim, but it serves as a warning about straying too close to the dead on their night.
