Casserole for one "Gift in a Jar" Bacon dishes

                                     Painting a scene makes a beautiful keepsake gift afterwards

These are the bacon edition of casseroles for one Gift in a jar. great for a dorm, single friend, an after school snacl, and the late night hunger pangs. Also make nice gift basket additions. Can be used for two as a side dish also.

For the Noodle Base:

1 oz broken spaghetti or macaroni noodles (about 1/4 cup)
1 tsp granulated garlic or 1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 Tbls Freeze Dried Bell Peppers
1/4 cup Freeze Dried Mushrooms
2 Tbls Freeze Dried Onion
1/8 cup Freeze Dried bacon (from jar)            
Classic Italian Tomato Sauce

To each Noodle Base Jar add:
3 T Tomato Powder
1 tsp Italian Seasoning

To prepare:
Bring 1 1/3 cups water to a rolling boil. Remove and discard oxygen absorber . Pour contents of jar into boiling water and stir. Boil 8-10 minutes until noodles are tender. Serve hot.
 
Cheesy Sauce
To each Noodle Base Jar add:
1/4 cup Cheese Sauce Powder
2T Instant Dry Milk
2T Freeze Dried Cheddar Cheese

To prepare:
Put contents of mix in a 12 inch skillet (with a lid). Add 1 1/3 cups water. Bring to a boil and cover. Simmer 12-15 minutes until noodles are tender. Sauce will thicken a little more as it cools. Yield 1 1/2 cups prepared.
 
 
Bacon and Egg casserole

To each Noodle Base Jar add:
4 T dehydrated eggs
 2 T Freeze Dried Cheddar Cheese
1 1/2 T dry milk
1/4 tsp chili pepper flakes

To prepare:
Put contents of mix in a casserole dish (with a lid). Add 1 1/3 cups boiling water. Bake in a 350degree oven for 20 minutes until noodles are tender. Yield 1 1/2 cups prepared.
 
 
Note: I would put the meat in a seperate baggie inside the jar for the above dishes
