Imbolc is approaching fast

Imbolc is a great time of fire and feasting. Since Imbolc celebrates the season of "ewe's milk," feel free to focus on recipes and treats that utilize dairy products. Whip up some kitchen magic for your Sabbat meal with these tasty recipes of the season! 

Here is one to make your own butter. What a wonderful way to get back to your roots and honor your ancestors that came before you.

Scottish Dainties

1 lb. margarine
4 oz icing sugar
1 egg
1 lb. plain flour
Buttercream:
6 oz icing sugar
2 oz butter 
4 oz chocolate 
Cream together margarine and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg, add flour and combine until well mixed. Grease three cookie sheets and using a large star tube pipe the mix onto sheet, making 36 biscuits. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes keep an eye on them. Cool on wire rack and dip 1/2 into melted chocolate.after it has hardened then sandwich them together with butter cream made by creaming together butter and sugar. Place each dainty in a paper cup cake holder. Makes 18
