These are the claws that give the plant its name
As a child when my sister and I walked through the woods we were sometimes snagged by these beauties. Their tough claw like barbs can scrape and even draw blood. But now they are endangered. If you find them please keep this in mind.
First I want to invite you to Check out my salves made with this interesting plant with products you can buy on line or create yourself.
