Yule craft thoughts

The kids could even do this one the five point star made with Cinnamon sticks a little evergreen a few holly berries and a pine cone or two. Each so different and yet the same. A fragrant package topper or a wonnderful addition to a yule tree. Hang a few and your house with smell like fresh cinnamon pastrys.

Salt dough or polimer clay would make these nicely. a round cookie cutter and some free time and your tree could be a work of art. Also a wonderful kids project.

A place card holder or book holder. your choice by the size you choose to make it. Bringing nature in is such a wonderful way to feel the Yule spirit.

A home sewn Checkers set. These can be as small as a regular board orv the size of a table. You can use buttons or hand made checker pieces. The next year you could surprise them with a hand made chest set to also fit that board.

There is one lady on facebook selling these cute necklaces. Hers are hand painted. But if you are not so gifted you can cut out a picture from the nation geographic magazine and fit it on and seal it with a spray. She also hand dyes her lace. you can create this same antique look with a tea bag.

Another makes Beaded spiders. You can recreate these simply by looking at it closely. and then if giving as a gift you can add the story of the christmas spider and how the web she weaved turned to silver and became the first tincel. (I want to do this one next Yule)

This is one I did a few years back and gave as present toppers. Below is the other type I did .

if anyone is interested in aalso making them but can't quite figure it out here is a recipe To make them that I put on JAP.

This one looks to be hemetite beads and so beautiful. I will be looking for the recipe and sharing soon. A boy who loves nature would love a collection to hang in his room. Would wort off the girl kooties for sure.

A tree topper with a stablizing cap. so simple and so beautiful. Another project I am planning for just after the new year.

Elf shoes for hanging on the tree. Could make them baby booties instead. or even smaller and as a necklace or earrings, something to hang in the car off the rear mirror.

a reindeer wash cloth or small towel gift wrap. All you need is the towel, 2 fake eyes, something to make the nose and some pipe cleaners. The kids can wrap the presents with these cuties. Note wrap then add face.

The Mayan Calender is coming to a close what better time than to give the gift of remembering with this rock garden of stone hinge.

Little wise men or kitchen witches or even what it was intended as a poppet doll. These can be made up like Santa with his eight reindeer or Oden with his eight legged reindeer from which the Santa story was created.

These cute flower faeries are an easy craft for the kis also.

Happy Crafting!
